HiltonSA Hotel Mersin decides for
Securelle®
HiltonSA in the Turkish town of Mersin has used Securelle® flame-retardant upholstery fabrics for the redesign of its bar area. The now completely renovated hotel bar has seating capacity for 64 guests and is completely separated from the rest of the hotel lobby. The Mersin HiltonSA 186-room beach hotel is in the 4-star category, has 8 conference rooms and stands on the Mediterranean coast of Southern Anatolia.
The new bar is decorated in soft tones of green and brown. Guests can relax here after a tiring day at work or in a seminar, sip their cocktails in a pleasant atmosphere and enjoy the magnificent view over the Mediterranean Sea. The flame retardant Jacquard upholstery fabrics are of 100% Securelle® and were woven by Boyteks - one of Turkey's leading weavers specialized in Jaquard fabrics.
Securelle® is the brand for flame-retardant fabrics from ADVANSA, Europe's Polyester Leader, made to 100% of Dacron® fibres and yarns. Securelle® fabrics are extremely versatile and can, for example, be used for curtains and drapes, upholstery, bed linen and other textiles. They contribute to safety, fulfilling the most important attainable European flammability standards for polyester fabrics, for example DIN 4102 B1 and B2, BS 5438, BS 5867 Part 2, Type B, BS 5852 Part 2, ÖNORM 3800 Part 1, EN 14533, NFP 92501-7, UNI VF+EN , as well as norms for the maritime and air transportation sector.
Fire precautions in hotels are frequently a balancing act between what is feasible, desirable and officially required. The days when comfort took first priority in decisions on textiles used in hotels are now past. Considerations of which hotel and which type of decorations meet personal safety requirements are now equally important. Hoteliers conscious of their responsibilities pay close attention, not only to guest comfort but also to making the guests feel safe. Securelle® offers both - the comfort of DACRON® polyester fibres, plus all special features of a tried and tested safety product.
Rainer Gieringer, Operations Manager of HiltonSA, Mersin comments, "Our decision to use Securelle® flame-retardant fabrics in the bar area yields enhanced safety. The norms to which these fabrics are manufactured fulfill our fire precaution and usage standards in every respect. In addition, the pleasant color shades of the fabrics help our guests relax, and the fabrics themselves are agreeable to the touch just like a natural fiber. Guests appreciate this, too.“
ADVANSA's development team has also succeeded in combining the flame retardant properties of Securelle® with the functionality of Teflon® Stain Release Fabric Protector. These two examples of advanced technology, Securelle® and Teflon®, together yield the ideal combination of safety and easy care, enhancing the value of furnishing fabrics and drapes by making them washable at low temperatures and stain-resistant. These fabrics retain their new appearance much longer. Securelle® fabrics with Teflon® finishing are stain-resistant and have less tendency to pilling and creasing. Their washability ensures that stains are completely removed. Longer intervals between washing and lower wash temperatures mean that Securelle® textiles combined with Teflon® Stain Release also offer additional opportunities to cut costs.
