Polyester Polymer Solutions is a relatively young business unit within ADVANSA. Founded in October 2006, the ground stone has been laid to establish and develop a new specialty business in Polyester polymers with the start-up of the new capacity at the Adana site of ADVANSA.
The production facilities of a continuous polymerization unit of 80 kt/a and a batch polymerization unit of 20 kt/a concentrates on the manufacturing of specialties to serve the emerging new markets in this sector with amorphous and crystallized and solid stated chips. Batch sizes of 1 t up to 5.000 tons will allow to tailor products to customer and market needs.
This is strengthened by our R&D facilities, a batch unit (3 kg per batch) and the most sophisticated pilot CONTINUOUS POLYMERIZATION (50 kg/h), both equipped with a solid-stating unit, allowing the development of different kinds of homo- and copolymers, like

bright and super bright Polyester Polymers, with different intrinsic
viscosity level (IV)
· Low melt
· Flame retardant
· Cat dye
· Colored chips
· Silica modified chips
· PBT
· PEN (homopolymer or PET-N copolymers)
· PBN
The main markets for these products are POY spinning, film producers (BOPET, cast), sheet producers, industrial yarns, engineering polymers as well as spunbond nonwovens.
In addition to the above mentioned products, ADVANSA Polyester Polymer Solutions is also offering a variety of Polyester based polymers to be used for the production of rigid foam (aromatic polyester polyols) and as an additive for film production , detergent or textile finishing (water soluble polyesters).
A young, flexible, well-trained and highly motivated team, recruited from different ADVANSA divisions, is dedicated to this business with the aim to be the first contact in the European markets for Polyester based specialty resins and chemicals.
Strategically, this is a perfect fit for ADVANSA, building on its experience of how to develop new fibers and resins. This will allow new markets to be opened in close partnership with our customers.
