The innovation story in ADVANSA includes not only work carried out by our forefathers DuPont and ICI but also by our Turkish parent Sabanci. In 1973 Sabanci ordered, built and commissioned DuPont CP outside the US at their new site at Adana. This collaborative and creative approach was typical of the aggressive and ambitious innovation that the future partner companies would take on their separate paths before the formation of ADVANSA in 2000.

That passion for innovation has also produced a wealth of well-known and trusted products, such as  Coolmax® and Thermolite®. It has been enabled by unsurpassed know-how of customer needs and manufacturing technology, a commitment to continuous manufacturing improvement, and a culture that values and promotes innovative and customer-oriented problem solving.

Now ADVANSA is embarking on an ambitious programme of RD&T expansion, creating new state of the art R&D facilities at its Adana site, and pursuing new technology platforms that maximise the synergies available to a uniquely integrated polyester company. These platforms complement the extension and updating of its successful brands with exciting new developments in polyester catalyst systems, recycling technologies and completely novel process technologies for intermediates and resins.

Our strategy of forming key alliances also enables us to collaborate successfully at every stage of the polyester technology value chain, from fundamental science and engineering, to the applied production scale know-how essential to successful scale up.
