Flock

Flocking is the process of applying short fibres on a surface. This creates a velvety effect. PA 6.6 is mainly used for textiles and decoration. Polyester fibres are also widely used in the technical area. For example, flocking can be used for cables (tow) that are cut from flat, uniform fibres with a length of less than 1mm. Both the quality of fibres and cut length must be excellent.

ADVANSA offers tows made of different polymers, which can be cut in a length under 5mm and can be used for flocking. Depending on the end use of the product, we offer cables made of PET, PA 6.6 and PP.
