Polypropylene (PP)

Due to the high alkali resistance, PP fibres are used in the construction industry to improve the processing, increase the stability and improve the fire protection. Due to the low melting point, they are also suitable as binder fibre in nonwovens.

  • High resistance
  • Hydrophobic
  • UV stability
  • Good resistance compared to alkali resistance and acids
  • Thermoplastic: low melting point approx. 163°C
  • Particular low density 0,91 g/cm3
